First screened in July 2004 / Most recently screened in July 2013
Director: George Seaton. Cast: Burt Lancaster, Dean Martin, Jacqueline Bisset, Jean Seberg, George Kennedy, Helen Hayes, Van Heflin, Maureen Stapleton, Dana Wynter, Barry Nelson, Barbara Hale, Lloyd Nolan. Screenplay: George Seaton (based on the novel by Arthur Hailey).

Twitter Capsule: Lighting, scenario, acting, and visuals feel 20 years out of date. Significant that a key motif is a wheel stuck in a rut.

VOR:   I guess you have to extend it a certain cachet of influence, given how many movies mimicked its recipe. But Airport itself is a mimic, and in no other way a movie to study.
